1 killed when SUV hits motorcycle in West Toledo
6/9/2014A man was killed and a woman was injured when a motorcycle the man was driving and the woman‘s sport-utility vehicle collided early today at a West Toledo intersection, authorities said.
Vance Popp, 43, of Sylvania, was pronounced dead at the scene, Toledo police said. Lora Staton, 34, of Toledo, who was driving the SUV, was taken to Toledo Hospital with injuries described as “minor.”
The SUV was turning into the intersection of Jackman Road and West Alexis Road about 2:30 a.m. when the two vehicles collided, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
