2 people hospitalized in Bancroft St. shooting

Two people were shot tonight on Bancroft Street near Franklin Avenue, police said.

The shootings happened shortly before 10 p.m. The exact location of the incident was unclear.

One victim, who was reportedly shot twice, went into an apartment building at 128 W. Bancroft and the other person was found at Prescott Street and Franklin, near a Toledo Fire Station 7.

Both victims were taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. The conditions of the victims were not immediate available.

Witnesses told police the shooter hopped into a two-door, black car and drove westbound on Bancroft.
