The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department has condemned a South Crissey Road residence today after authorities removed multiple animals.

Authorities arrived at 651 S. Crissey Road this morning with a search warrant, after a report that the woman living there, Jennifer Davenport, has been removing multiple animals from inside the property.

Officials from the Lucas County Sheriff‘‍s Office and the Toledo Area Humane Society had responded to the home late Wednesday on a report of a neglected horse. That horse, which was down and could not get up, was euthanized. A second horse was removed from the property.

Multiple birds, including chickens, at least one turkey, and ducks, two pot-bellied pigs, two dogs, several rabbits, and several cats, were also reportedly inside the property. Officials said they planned to work today with Ms. Davenport to remove some of the animals inside the home, but stepped up the search warrant process when they were told early today that she was either removing or trying to sell some of the animals.

Authorities say she has removed most of the dogs and cats, and that she was trying to sell the chickens on Craig’‍s List and from the property.

No charges have been filed, but are likely, Humane Society officials said.
