A Toledo man accused of burning and beating his girlfriend was arraigned today in Toledo Municipal Court.

Police allege that Brandon Schley, 30, of 3943 Airport Hwy., poured boiling water on Amber Cummings and used a cigarette to burn her. In an affidavit police also claim that the suspect used a wire hanger to beat the victim, cutting her arms, back, and chest. The woman was also beaten with a video-game controller, police allege.

Schley was charged with felonious assault, domestic violence, and assault. He was ordered to remain in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $75,000 bond.
