FINDLAY -- A North Carolina man was being held in the Hancock County jail after Highway Patrol troopers found hydroponic marijuana during a traffic stop.

Mark Nour, 29, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of hashish.

Troopers reported that a vehicle was caught speeding on southbound I-75, near U.S. Route 224, at 10:50 p.m. on Friday. Troopers said that that whey they approached the vehicle, they smelled marijuana and had the occupants get out of the car for a pat-down search which yielded small amounts of marijuana and hashish. Troopers then searched the vehicle and found four pounds of hydroponic marijuana, worth an estimated $18,100.

No other charges were filed.
