A Fostoria teen was flown to Toledo after his vehicle rolled over multiple times west of Tiffin on Friday evening.

According to a representative with the Ohio Highway Patrol Fremont Post, Austyn K. Ray, 17, was traveling northwest on County Rd. 26 west of Tiffin when he lost control of the vehicle while exiting a right-hand curve and over-corrected. His vehicle struck a culvert on the right side of the roadway and overturned several times before coming to a final stop in a ditch.

The extent of his injuries were unknown, according to the representative, who said Ray was “incapacitated.” He was Life Flighted to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.

According to the report, young Ray was wearing his seat belt.

Trooper Austin Young responded to the call at 6:39 p.m. As of 5 p.m. Sunday, he had not issued a citation for young Ray.
