Maritime Academy of Toledo Foundation sets up fund, seeking information on former student's murder

The Maritime Academy of Toledo Foundation has set up a reward fund for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for killing 16-year-old Tyler McIntoush.

The McIntoush youth, who was shot dead on Collingwood Boulevard near Nottingham Terrace on July 24, was a student at Maritime Academy. The foundation has so far raised $2,500 for the reward fund. Anyone wishing to contribute can bring a check, written out to the foundation, to 803 Water St., the physical address of the school where the McIntoush youth would have been a junior this year. In the “memo” line of the check, donators should specify that the funds are for the “Tyler reward fund,” said the foundation‘s president Renee Marazon.‍‍

During a news conference today announcing the fund, Mrs. Marazon described the McIntoush youth as a good student who was well liked by his peers. The boy‘s mother, Oleen Clinton, became emotional as she pleaded with the killer or killers to come forward.
