Police have charged a West Toledo man with two robberies that investigators believe are part of a larger string of crimes.

Jonathan Reed, 38, whose address was given as both 1902 W. Alexis Rd. and 3025 Glenn St., is charged with two counts of robbery. He is also wanted on a prior drug charge.

Police allege that Reed robbed Monroe Pharmacy, 4122 Monroe St., and Rite Aid, 5765 Secor Rd. In each robbery, a man went into the business and asked an employee to make change; when the register was opened, the man grabbed cash and and then fled.

Five other robberies with the same scheme were reported since Aug. 20. Police said more charges against Reed could be filed.

Reed has not been arrested. He is described by police as white, 6 feet tall and 186 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
