Man critically injured by deer on I-75 in Rossford

A Michigan man is in intensive care after a deer on I-75 in Rossford went through the windshield of the minivan in which he was a front-seat passenger, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Ibrahim Hussein, 42, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, suffering what the patrol termed life-threatening injuries.

He was riding in a minivan that was northbound on I-75 at about 8:15 p.m. Thursday when a deer jumped from east to west into the minivan‘‍s path, according to the patrol.

None of the other five occupants of the minivan was injured. The driver was Jana Hussein, 38, according to the patrol. 

Other passengers in the minivan were Paul Kanouno, 39, Nada Ozier, 28, Melinda Karkaba, 35, and Loretta Sobh, 38. All are from Michigan, according to the patrol.
