Ohio troopers cancel B.G. checkpoint

BOWLING GREEN — The Ohio Highway Patrol has canceled a checkpoint today in Bowling Green because of the weather.

The checkpoint for impaired drivers was set for 10 p.m. today to 1 a.m. Saturday on Wooster Street, according to an media release from the patrol. Authorities did not specify the location, and a commanding officer was not available.

So far, the Lucas County OVI Task Force are still slated to check for impaired drivers.

Those checkpoints will be from 8 p.m. today to 1 a.m. Saturday at 7718 West Central Ave. in Sylvania Township and 1470 South McCord Rd. in Holland.
