North Toledo man accused of grabbing teen girl off bike, rape

Poole is charged with rape and a first-degree felony

A North Toledo man is accused of grabbing a 13-year-old girl off her bicycle and raping her on Thursday, according to Toledo police. 

Timothy A. Poole, of the 1000 block of Sherman Street, is charged with rape, a first-degree felony. 

Mr. Poole is accused of grabbing the girl, who’s exact age was unknown, from her bicycle in the 2900 block of Stickney Avenue, according to a complaint filed in Toledo Municipal Court. He then forced her down an alley, between two houses and raped her, according to police. 

The incident was reported at approximately 5:50 p.m. Thursday

Mr. Poole told her he had a knife, and if she screamed, he was going to kill her, according to documents filed in Toledo Municipal Court. 

The girl was able to give police a description of the suspect.

A warrant was issued for Poole’s arrest, and he was located by two U.S. deputy marshals at roughly 12:50 p.m. today at Mulberry and Page, according to police. He was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit, and is incarcerated that the Lucas County jail.
