Deputies: Adrian woman stabbed in the head

ADRIAN, Mich. — A woman was stabbed in the head Thursday by her brother at an Adrian, Mich., residence, according to the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office.

The 29-year-old woman was stabbed by her 20-year-old brother, who then fled the scene, deputies said. Their names were not released. 

The incident was reported at approximately 2:40 a.m. Thursday at a residence on Concord Street in Madison Township. The motive behind the stabbing was not released by deputies. 

The victim was transported by medical helicopter to a Toledo-area hospital, where she is listed in critical condition, deputies said. 

Deputies put out a call for the suspect’s vehicle, which was located by the Hudson Police Department. After a short pursuit, the man was taken into custody, according to the sheriff’s office. 

He is being held at the Lenawee County Jail pending arraignment.  Authorities did not release the man’s name.
