Indiana woman dies in Hicksville crash
11/27/2017OBJECTHICKSVILLE, Ohio — A Fort Wayne, Ind., woman died at a hospital after her vehicle struck a parked grain truck Saturday on State Rt. 2 northeast of Hicksville, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.
Michelle Y. Wyatt-Wheeler, 58, of Fort Wayne, Ind., was flown by medical helicopter to Parkview North Hospital in Fort Wayne, where she died, troopers said.
Ms. Wyatt-Wheeler was driving eastbound on State Rt. 2 at approximately 1 p.m. Saturday when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch, according to the patrol. The vehicle traveled outside of the highway right-of-way and struck an unoccupied grain truck.
Ms. Wyatt-Wheeler was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
