Police respond to shooting in East Toledo

A person was shot Thursday night in East Toledo, authorities said.

The shooting occurred about 10:10 p.m., with police and firefighters dispatched to the 200 block of Worthington Street. The victim was being transported by Life Squad to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center.

A name and condition were not immediately available.

Toledo police were investigating.
