DELTA, Ohio -- The Delta Public Library got a vote of confidence today.
Voters in the Pike-Delta-York school district agreed to replace a 1-mill levy and increase it by an additional mill for five years.
The 2-mill levy, which is expected to bring in some $330,000 a year, will cost the owner of a $100,000 home about $60 annually.
Library officials said the additional tax revenue will allow them to hire staff and beef up the library's budget for purchasing new books, movies, and music for patrons to borrow.
