Sylvania seeks candidates to serve on housing council
9/9/2013The City of Sylvania is seeking candidates to serve on the Community Reinvestment Housing Council District Nos. 6 and 8.
The seven-member housing council will oversee the distribution of tax incentives that property owners within a community reinvestment area can receive for specified types of improvements to buildings or homes. Applicants are required to be Sylvania residents. The position is unpaid. CRA No. 6 covers the city’s downtown district, and No. 8 the properties east of U.S. 23, along Monroe Street.
