Mr. Seaman picked up the nod from the United Auto Workers Region 2B. The 22-year councilman is serving his sixth term as chairman of the finance committee and also serves on water and sewer and economic development committees. He was a psychologist for the Toledo Public Schools for 30 years.

Mr. Susor picked up endorsements from the Toledo Board of Realtors, the Northwest Ohio AFL/CIO Labor Council, the Northwest Ohio Building Trades, IBEW Local 8, AFSCME Ohio Council 8, Brick Layers Local 3, Cement Masons Local 886, Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 50, Insulators Local 45, Sheet Metal Workers Local 33, Ironworkers Local 55, the Toledo Federation of Teachers, CWA Local 4319, the National Electrical Contractors Association, the Lucas County Democratic Party, and the Oregon Democratic Club. He and his wife, Sandy, have an electrical contracting business.

Mr. Susor is challenging incumbent mayor Mike Seferian, who has been mayor for four years and was on council for 16 years before that.
