PORT CLINTON — Port Clinton voters will be asked in November to approve an ordinance that would make it a requirement to obtain voter permission before the city sells park land.
Ottawa County Board of Elections directors OK’d its placement Monday on the Nov. 4 ballot.
If approved, the ordinance would require the city to obtain approval from voters at a general election before it sells, leases, or transfers park land.
Citizens Organized for Responsible Development supports the proposed ordinance and opposes a plan, backed by the mayor and other city officials, to develop Water Works Park along Lake Erie.
