Lucas residents can get vehicle safety checks

5/4/2001

The Ohio Highway Patrol and AAA Northwest Ohio are offering voluntary vehicle safety inspections for Lucas County residents today at a Sylvania Township business.

From 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., motor vehicle inspectors will be on duty in the north parking lot at JoAnn Fabrics, West Central Avenue and Holland-Sylvania Road. Inspectors will check tires, glass, lights, windshield wiper systems, mirrors, horn, brakes, exhaust system, and registration.

Only passenger cars and light trucks will be inspected. Those that pass will receive a decal from the highway patrol.
