Percentage of overdue area mortgages falls
5/28/2014The percentage of Toledo-area mortgages that are at least 90 days overdue continues to decline, according to CoreLogic Inc., a California-based real estate data firm.
The share of Toledo-area mortgages that were delinquent by 90 days or more decreased to 4.52 percent in March from 4.68 percent the previous month. A year earlier, the 90-day delinquency rate was 5.82 percent, according to CoreLogic.
Overall, foreclosure activity in metro Toledo fell to 1.65 percent in March, the fourth straight month the local rate has decreased. A year earlier the foreclosure rate was 2.74 percent.
