A new four-story residence hall geared toward honor students is rising on the University of Toledo’s main campus on the site of the former Dowd, White, and Nash residence hall on Campus Road near Bancroft Avenue. Completion is set for August, 2015, for the 492-bed, 153-suite style room complex, which is a partnership between UT and the Alabama-based Collegiate Housing Foundation, which is building the residence hall and will manage it. Marous Brothers Construction, of Willoughby, Ohio, is the general contractor overseeing local contractors, such as the Spieker Co., of Perrysburg, which currently is installing the exterior wall of the project. The site’s former the 330-bed Dowd-Nash-White residence halls was demolished last summer.
