SISTERS ON WHEELS

Today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Little Sisters of the Poor in Oregon hold their eighth annual car show and motorcycle run at 930 S. Wynn Rd. Participants can show their cars for $12, and motorcyclists can join the group ride to the Marblehead lighthouse for $25 a bike and $5 per extra rider.

POLISH CATHOLICS

The Polish Roman Catholic Union of America holds its 61st quadrennial convention today through Wednesday, based at the Grand Plaza Hotel and Convention Center, 444 N. Summit St. The union has been in existence since 1873, and this is the first time since its founding that the convention comes to Toledo. (Don't do the math to make 61 every-four-years conventions fit into a 141-year history.) The national fraternal organization has more than 70,000 members, headquarters in Chicago, and a local chapter at 5355 N. Detroit Ave.

The opening Mass is Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Hedwig's Church, 3233 Lagrange St., and most events will be at the Grand Plaza.

INDIAN FESTIVAL

On Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Centennial Terrace, 5773 Centennial Rd., Sylvania, the Hindu Temple & Heritage Hall of Toledo presents “The Big Fat Indian Wedding,” a themed festival celebrating the temple's 25th anniversary. The celebration is just after a three-day ceremony concluding today in the renovating the worship space and that introduced three new deities to its altar at the temple, 4336 King Rd. The wedding musical at the festival is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

TOUR ENDS

The 2014 summer tours of houses of worship sponsored by Toledo Area Ministries concludes Tuesday with an 11 a.m. visit to Echo Meadows Church of Christ, 2905 Starr Ave., Oregon. Echo Meadows formed as a congregation in 1939, moved into its current building in 1966, and completed its Life Center containing classrooms, a multipurpose area, and offices in 2001. the tour is free—just show up at the church.

CLARK-COLE RETURNS

The 16th annual Singers & Musicians Arts Conference of gospel singer Dorinda Clark-Cole is back for another year in Toledo, taking place Wednesday through Aug. 16 at Mt. Pilgrim Church, 1401 Hoag St. Special tributes will be presented for Edwin Hawkins and Vanessa Bell-Armstrong. Speakers are Clark-Cole, Michael T. Scott, and Walter Jordan on Wednesday; Donnie McClurkin on Thursday; and Todd Hall on Friday. Musical guests are Jonathan Dunn and Javen on Wednesday, Tasha Page-Lockhart on Thursday, and Jonathan Nelson and Tonya Baker on Friday. The 7 p.m. services are free, but a collection will be taken.

Also on Thursday and Friday, conference workshops will take place from 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Pilgrim, and a 1 p.m. session Thursday will have Devon Franklin, a senior vice president of Columbia Pictures.

On Friday at the Radisson Hotel at the University of Toledo, 3100 Glendale Ave., an arts education talent “show-off” is for youth age 18 and under, hosted by C1 Radio's Crazy One. Cost for the workshops is $50 for adults, $35 for youth.

A salute to Clark-Cole is August 16 at 6 p.m., with Anthony Brown and Group Therapy, Anita Wilson, Ricky Dillard and New G, the Rance Allen Group, Dorothy Norwood, Tobbi and Tommi, and other musicians. Cost is $15 for general admission and $25 for VIP seating, and tickets are on sale at Jack's Men's Wear, 3414 Dorr St.
