Kohl’s joins retailers open on Thanksgiving
10/21/2013MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — Kohl’s Department Stores says it will open on Thanksgiving, adding to the ranks of retailers trying to get a jump start on the holiday shopping season.
Retailers have been nudging their opening times earlier than the Friday after Thanksgiving, the typical start to the shopping season. Macy’s Inc. and JCPenney recently said they also will open on Thanksgiving.
Kohl’s Corp. said it will open its doors at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day through all day Friday.
The Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based firm operates 1,158 stores nationwide.
