CINCINNATI — Cincinnati police have released the name of a 14-year-old boy who was shot to death on a street Saturday night.

Police said the body of Trevaughn Everett was found in the street at about 8 p.m. Saturday in the city’s Avondale neighborhood, north of downtown.

Detectives don’t know who shot him or why. The investigation continues.

Everett’s mother Virginetta Bess told reporters that she’ll take to the streets to seek answers and justice for her son.
