COLUMBUS — Police in Columbus say a man is being charged with abuse of a corpse after he allegedly threw the body of his dead wife down the stairs of a vacant house.

A report said the body of 35-year-old Amber Henry was found in the house Wednesday morning. The cause of her death is to be determined by the coroner.

A warrant was issued for Henry’s husband, 40-year-old Guido Henry.

The body was found after a woman called police to report that an unconscious woman was in a trash bin that was being pushed by a man down an alley behind a vacant home. The man told the caller the woman was drunk and he was trying to get her home.

Police then found Amber Henry’s body in the house.
