FRANKLIN, Ohio — Police in southwest Ohio have charged two men with murder after a badly beaten teen dropped off at a hospital died from his injuries.

Franklin Police Chief Russ Whitman says an investigation found the 16-year-old youth had gone to Franklin to sell drugs. Police say he was beaten and robbed at a home some 15 miles south of Dayton.

Authorities say Dione Payne of Dayton was left at a Middletown hospital without any identification early Sunday and was transferred to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, where he died.

Thirty-nine-year-old Michael Watson and 36-year-old Michael Geldrich of Franklin were jailed Monday on aggravated murder and aggravated robbery charges. No attorneys were listed for them. A court appearance was set Tuesday.
