Ohio conducts survey to gauge transit needs
6/9/2014State officials have invited Ohioans from urban, suburban, and rural areas to identify their priorities for public transportation by completing an online survey.
At ohiotransitsurvey.com, the survey gives participants a budget of $100 and asks them to spend all or some of it on various improvements to public transit that have assigned costs in $10 increments. Options include expanding existing services, developing new transit in unserved areas, new vehicle purchases, and enhanced information technology.
State officials said that respondents will need no more than 10 minutes to do the survey, which should be done by June 30.
Survey results will be used to help formulate recommendations produced by an ODOT Statewide Transit Needs Study to be completed this year.
