Johny D. back on local airwaves

Less than a month after his departure from WSPD-AM 1370, Johny DiModica aka Johny D. returns to the local radio Monday as the morning drive-time host on WPFX-FM, 107.7, the Wolf.

Johny D. in the Morning will broadcast from 6 to 9 a.m. weekdays. DiModica replaces Craig Snyder, who is expected to move to mid-days from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the station.

DiModica isn’t new to the country format. He previously worked as program director and weekday host at WCKY-FM 103.7 in Findlay.

“After only three years the Wolf has established itself a great locally owned brand and station and we believe the addition of a strong morning show will propel us well past our current 60,000-plus listeners in northwest Ohio,” said WPFX general manager Laura Hart in a statement.
