A Waterville boy will again receive national attention when he appears on Ellen Degeneres’ daytime talk show today.

Myles Eckert, 8, will be able to tell his story about finding $20 in a Cracker Barrel parking lot in February and giving it to an airman, Lt. Frank Dailey, who was having dinner with his family.

After the story first aired on a Toledo news station, it was picked up by CBS News and featured in an “On the Road” segment with Steve Hartman. Since the first national television showing, the story has been published on Web sites and in newspapers across the globe.

Myles was in the Ellen studio Wednesday afternoon for the taping. He and his family and Lieutenant Dailey, of the Ohio Air National Guard’s 180th Fighter Wing, traveled to Los Angeles for the taping.

The show airs from 4 to 5 p.m. locally on WTVG-TV, Chanel 13.
