WTVG-TV sold to Atlanta-based company for $128M
7/24/2014Toledo‘s ABC affiliate has been sold to an Atlanta-based company.
Gray Television Inc. said early today it has agreed to acquire WTVG-TV, Channel 13, along with a Flint, Mich., television station for $128 million in cash. The stations had been owned by SJL Holdings LLC out of Flint.
Including the deal announced today, Gray will own or operate television stations in 44 U.S. markets. The company said it will reach about 8.1 percent of total U.S. television households.
The deal must clear regulatory approval.
