Kickoff time changed to noon for UT-Navy
10/7/2013The University of Toledo’s home football game against Navy on Oct. 19 will start at noon. The game originally had been scheduled for 7 p.m.
The reason for the change is ESPN chose the game for a national broadcast. The game will air on ESPNews.
■ Toledo kicker Jeremiah Detmer was named West Division special teams player of the week by the Mid-American Conference for the third time this season for his performance in Toledo's 47-20 win over Western Michigan.
Detmer was 2 for 2 on field goals, connecting from 39 and 29 yards. Detmer also handled kickoff duties and booted seven of his nine kickoffs for touchbacks.
Detmer was also honored by the MAC following games vs. Missouri on Sept. 7 and Eastern Washington on Sept. 14.
