Rockets back into 51-41 win at Glass Bowl

Toledo beat Buffalo 51-41 tonight at the Glass Bowl.

The Rockets remain one-game behind Mid-American Conference West leaders Ball State and Northern Illinois. BSU and NIU meet Wednesday at NIU.

 

THIRD QUARTER

Toledo led Buffalo 38-14 entering the fourth quarter. Toledo pushed its lead to 38-0 on a 56-yard pass from Terrance Owens to Bernard Reedy. The Bulls responded with two TDs.

The Rockets are now on top 48-28 midway through the 4th.

 

HALFTIME

Toledo leads MAC-East leader Buffalo 31-0 at halftime.

The Rockets tacked on 10 points in the second quarter, on a 15-yard Kareem Hunt run and a 32-yard field goal by Jeremiah Detmer as time expired.

Toledo outgained the Bulls 350 to 131.

Hunt has 148 yards on 24 carries. The Rockets are outrushing Buffalo 205-16.

 

FIRST QUARTER

Toledo leads Buffalo 21-0 after one quarter at the Glass Bowl.

The Rockets scored on their first three drives — on a 59-yard pass from Terrance Owens to Bernard Reedy, on a 4-yard Owens run, and on a 53-yard Damion Jones-Moore run.

Toledo has outscored its last three opponents 49-0 in the first quarter.
