OLEAN, N.Y. — Janelle Reed-Lewis’ coast-to-coast layup with 2.8 seconds left lifted Toledo to a 64-62 victory over St. Bonaventure on Sunday in the Reilly Center. With the nonconference victory, the Rockets improve to 5-4 on the season.

The Bonnies (8-4) had one final chance to tie the game or win it in regulation with a 3-point attempt following a timeout, but Emily Michael’s desperation shot from beyond midcourt fell short of the mark.

Reed-Lewis and Ana Capotosto paced Toledo with 16 points each, followed by Andola Dortch with 14 points and Brianna Jones with 12 points.

Jones, who graduated on Sunday, added a career-tying best 11 rebounds to post a second double-double on the season.

As a team, the Rockets finished with a commanding 34-26 edge on the glass.

The Rockets shot 45.6 percent (26-of-57) from the field, including a season-high 40 percent (6-of-15) from 3-point range, and 85.7 percent (6-of-7) from the charity stripe to bounce back from a tough last-second, two-point setback to Valparaiso seven days earlier.

Katie Healy led SBU with a game-high 25 points, while Gabrielle Richmond had 17 points and a team-best seven boards.
