Rockets defensive coordinator to leave for head coach post

University of Toledo defensive coordinator Tom Matukewicz is leaving to be the head coach at Southeast Missouri State, The Blade has learned.

Matukewicz is expected to be introduced as coach on Wednesday.

Matukewicz spent the past two seasons at Toledo, also serving as linebackers coach.

Southeast Missouri State of the Division I Championship Subdivision went 3-9 this season. The school fired coach Tony Samuel who went 31-60 in eight seasons.
