Junior college DE commits to UT

Defensive end Tre James signed with the University of Toledo on Wednesday, the first day junior college athletes could sign letter of intents with Division I programs.

James registered 52 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and four sacks as a sophomore this season at Snow College in Utah. He will have two years of eligibility remaining with the Rockets.

James (6-foot-1, 251 pounds) had offers from Northern Illinois and Western Michigan among others.
