UT women thump Ball State, 73-61

The University of Toledo women's basketball team avoided a three-game losing streak, thumping Ball State tonight, 73-61, at Savage Arena.

Inma Zanoguera led the Rockets with 16 points and Andola Dortch had 15. Ana Capotosto followed in line with 14.

The Rockets (8-9, 3-3) led at halftime 35-21 and never trailed in the second half.

Ball State (8-9, 3-3) was picked to finish second in the Mid-American Conference West division.
