OXFORD, Ohio — Ana Capotosto made four 3-pointers and Inma Zanoguera posted a double-double to lead the University of Toledo women’s basketball team to a 73-65 victory on Thursday at Miami.
The win was Toledo’s second against Miami and moved the Rockets to .500 in the Mid-American Conference.
Capotosto led Toledo (10-11, 5-5) with 21 points and added eight rebounds. Zanoguera had 10 points and 11 rebounds. Andola Dortch contributed 17 points and eight assists, and Janelle Reed-Lewis chipped in 11 points and four assists.
A 3-pointer by Reed-Lewis with three seconds left in the first half sent the Rockets into the the locker room ahead 35-34.
A Brianna Jones layup with 5 minutes, 25 seconds left in the game put UT in front by 10.
Jillian Spurlock led Miami (7-14, 3-7) with 10 points and nine rebounds.
