UT basketball coach Kowalczyk signs 2-year contract extension

University of Toledo basketball coach Tod Kowalczyk signed a two-year employment extension today, extending his contract through the 2020-2021 season.

The extension, Kowalczyk's third in three years, comes with a $45,000 raise. His extensions the past two years did not come with a pay raise.

Kowalczyk, who led the Rockets to a school-record 27 wins this year, will make $415,000 next year before bonuses. UT will pay his base salary of $325,000. An additional $90,000 will come from outside marketing for public appearances and TV and radio spots.
