BGSU basketball great Stacey hired by UT

The most prolific scorer in Bowling Green State University men's basketball history is switching sides in the Battle of I-75.

Anthony Stacey has been hired as an assistant at the University of Toledo, The Blade has learned.

Stacey, who was hired in April as the head boys basketball coach at Sandusky High School after three seasons leading Medina, fills the vacancy left by the recent departure of assistant Jordan Mincy to a similar position at Louisiana Tech. Sandusky is now search of its sixth head boys basketball coach since the start of the 2011-2012 school year.

Stacey, whose No. 34 jersey was retired by BG, ranks first in Falcons history with 1,938 points and 241 steals.
