Walleye lose 4th straight game

The reeling Toledo Walleye lost their fourth straight game on Sunday as they fell 5-4 to Reading.

The Royals scored three goals in the first period. The Walleye rallied with two goals over the final 7 minutes, 36 seconds but came up short before an announced crowd of 4,452 at Huntington Center.

Toledo forward Martin Frk scored twice, once in the first period and then again in the third.

Trevor Parkes, the team's leading scorer, had a goal and an assist. Parkes has eight goals and six assists this season.

Defenseman Joe Gleason scored his first pro goal with 46.9 seconds left as Toledo pulled its goalie.

C.J. Chartrain, Joe Gleason, and Travis Novak had assists for Toledo.

But Reading's Stanislav Galiev scored twice, and goalie Riley Gill finished with 17 saves.

Toledo goalie Jared Coreau (0-3-2) made 21 saves on 26 shots.

After playing five straight games on the road, the Walleye (4-6-2) began a four-game homestand.

Toledo next hosts Evansville on at 7:15 p.m. Saturday.
