Walleye fall after late Komets goal

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The Toledo Walleye dropped their second straight contest after a 4-3 loss to host Fort Wayne on Friday.

The Walleye (8-14-3) fell behind 3-0 before battling back to tie the game with 6:05 remaining. A goal 1:29 later by the Komets’ Scott Fleming sealed the game for Fort Wayne.

Kyle Rogers, Scott Arnold, and David Gilbert each scored for Toledo. Hannu Toivonen finished with 38 saves.

NOTE: Toledo native and forward Tyler Pilmore has re-signed with the Walleye after playing for Peoria of the Southern Pro league for seven games.
