Goaltender Carruth reassigned to Walleye

Rookie goaltender Mac Carruth, who started his professional career with the Walleye, was reassigned to Toledo today.

Carruth had been called up to the American Hockey League and had played in seven games with the Walleye's affiliate in Rockford.

Carruth earned a win in his professional debut, leading Toledo to a 4-3 victory over Fort Wayne in the team's season opener on Oct. 19.

Carruth had a 4-3-0 record with a 2.50 goals-against average with the Walleye. After being promoted to Rockford, Carruth had a 2-2-1 record with a 3.36 goals-against average.

The native of Shorewood, Minn. is expected to join the Walleye tonight in Kalamazoo for the game against the Wings.
