Toledo Walleye sign forward Matt Abercrombie to contract
2/27/2014The Toledo Walleye signed forward Matt Abercrombie to a contract today.
Abercrombie, a native of Sarnia, Ontario, just completed his college career at Brock University. Abercrombie collected 27 points (15 goals and 12 assists) in 24 games last season.
In four seasons at Brock, the 24-year-old appeared in 107 games. The 6-foot-1 and 183-pound forward produced 105 points (57 G, 48 A).
The Walleye begin a five-game home stand this weekend. Toledo (16-31-4) hosts Greenville on Saturday and Sunday.
