Chick-fil-A’s founder, CEO steps down for son

ATLANTA — Truett Cathy, the 92-year-old founder of Chick-fil-A, has stepped down as chairman and chief executive officer and was replaced by his son, Dan Cathy.

Dan Cathy had been president and chief operating officer of the fast-food chain. Truett Cathy will be chairman emeritus. The company said Truett Cathy is in good health and Dan Cathy’s promotion is part of a long-planned succession.
