Ohio gas prices down to start work week

COLUMBUS — Gas prices in Ohio are down to start the first full work week of 2014.

The average early today was $3.29 for a gallon of regular gas in the survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc. That’s down 11 cents from last week.

The national average today  was $3.32, up a penny from last week.

The Ohio average is a nickel higher than a month ago, and 8 cents higher than this time last year.

The lowest average gas price in the state today was $3.21 in the Toledo area.
