Andres Lopez named head of O-I Americas

Owens-Illinois Inc. announced Friday that Andres Lopez has been named president of O-I Americas. In his expanded role, he will oversee the North America and South America regions of the company. He will be based at the company’s global headquarters in Perrysburg.

Mr. Lopez, 52, has been with O-I since 1986. He had been president of O-I South America since April, 2009.

Arnaud De Weert, who had been president of O-I North America, recently resigned from the company.
