Columbia Gas of Ohio’s Aug. rates up from 2013
8/1/2014Columbia Gas of Ohio Inc. said Thursday that its August rate for residential natural gas customers will be 52 cents per hundred cubic feet.
The rate is based on the recent closing price of 38 cents per hundred cubic feet on the New York Mercantile Exchange, and 14 cents for a state-approved service fee. With the new rate, the gas utility said the average consumer bill in August will be $33.90.
Last August, the rate was 48 cents per ccf and the average bill was $30.76.
