Information about a local program preparing people for possible manufacturing jobs will be offered during a meeting at 6 p.m. today in Waite High School in East Toledo.
Sponsored by Lucas County, the WorkReady Manufacturing Initiative gets workers eligible for factory jobs requiring technology skills.
The free program is open to anyone interested in future employment opportunities, including nearly 1,000 jobs promised in new factories at Overland Industrial Park during the next 18 months.
