  • UNDER CONSTRUCTION

    The new Mott Branch of the Toledo Lucas County Public Library starts to take shape on Dorr Street at Forest Avenue. The 18,000-square-foot building will replace an older Mott Branch building across the street when it is completed next spring. The budget for the project is $10.2 million.

    ACHIEVEMENTS

    ■ Paul Favorite has been hired as the chief operating officer of Toledo law firm Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick.

    ■ Marathon Petroleum Corp., a Findlay based oil refining and marketing company, has made changes in its leadership positions. Raymond Brook, currently the company’s senior vice president of Refining, will be executive vice president of Refining. Rick Hessling, company manager of crude oil and natural gas supply and trading, will be senior vice president of crude oil supply and logistics. David Whikehart, company vice president of environment, safety, and corporate affairs, will be senior vice president of light products supply and logistics. Brian Partee, company vice president of business development, will be senior vice president of marketing. James Wilkins, company director of environment, safety, and security and product quality, will be vice president of environment, safety, and security. Michael Gebhardt, Andeavor vice president of mid-continent gathering & processing, will be vice president of supply chain.

    ■  Three attorneys from Toledo law firm Eastman & Smith have been named Lawyers of the Year for Toledo in the 2019 edition of Best Lawyers in America. They are John Boggs, trusts and estates; Thomas Dixon, employment law individuals, and Steven Reinbolt, real estate law.
