Metamora man killed in Fulton County traffic crash

METAMORA, Ohio Authorities have released the identity of a 37-year-old pedestrian who was struck and killed while standing next to his vehicle on State Rt. 120 near Fulton County Road 5 in Amboy Township last night.

Richard D. Treadway, of Metamora, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. An Ohio State Highway Patrol spokesman said Amy J. Pennington, 17, of Fayette, was driving a car westbound on State Rt. 120 about 8:50 p.m. when her vehicle collided with Mr. Treadway, who was standing next to his van.

Troopers said Mr. Treadway s van was partially parked on the roadway.

The 17-year-old was transported to the Fulton County Health Center with minor injuries. The case remains under investigation, authorities said.
